Actually, we proudly publish this chat with Katja Hettler y Jula Tüllman, two women designing on mac.

For the past eight years designer Katja Hettler and architect Jula Tüllmann were part of the international design community in Paris ( Katja) and New York (Jula) .
Now based in Berlin, hettler.tüllmann have launched red maloo, their own collection of well-designed, eco-sensitive, fresh solutions for modern life.

Tell us a little about your life, please: Where are you from? Where do you live actually?

Katja Hettler:

I was trained as an industrial designer and I was born in Erlangen, Germany.

Having received her education in Barcelona, Berlin and Paris, I mostly worked in Paris.

She has gained her work experience with internationally acclaimed designers - such as Marc Newson and Christian Biecher and has worked for labels such as Louis Vuitton and Celine.

She is also the co-founder of bureauparis, a collaborative Paris based design office of free-lance architects, product - and graphic designers.

Jula Tüllmann:

I was born in Munich and I´m a trained architect.
I received my education in Berlin and New York and I had gained my training with architects such as Maya Lin and urban theorist Michael Sorkin
.

She worked for MoMA and Domus magazine.

When did you begin to use mac computers? Which macs have you used?

early 90ies at school - first own computer was a G3, now we work on the Powerbook G4 15″

Which apple products do you use actually?
just the computer ( very old school) ?

can you explain on your experiences on design products? (soft- drawing) How do you began and finish the process?

we first talk about our ideas, then sketch and pretty sooon start to render or do real mockups

Do you have gadgets? which are your next shopping products for your own?

haha, we are just about to start with cel phones, - seriously….

Tell us about your new products at Red Maloo, please

ipod cases out of a 100% degradable material: wood fiber that feels smoother than wood and is cleaner than plastic

Do you sell to Spain too?

yes, but only online, we are hopefully going to sell to a few stores in the very near future
