Laboratory of Art, Technology and Feminism: encounters with Marina Núñez

This special session of the permanent seminar on STS and the Body, will take place Wednesday 18th of March, 2009 at the Center of Human and Social Sciences, Spanish Scientific Research Council (CCHS, CSIC) in Madrid. We will have the contribution of Marina Núñez , Remedios Zafra, and Antonio Lafuente.

For this special event, we want to open a call for proposals to participate in the event, open to students, scholars, artists, collectives, and anyone interested in participating in the Lab.

The proposed themes are: Cyberfeminism; Technologies of the Body; Gender, Art and Technology; New Media; Post-human theory.

The format of the contributions are also open: audiovisual; performances; workshops; photography; theoretical contributions; communications; etc.

The deadline to send a proposal is January 20th, 2009.

Requirements:
-The video/audiovisual proposals will have a length of approximately a max. of 10 minutes.
-The abstracts will be no longer than 350 words.
-For the rest of the formats, just send a proposal with a brief explanation and description of the proposed activity, no longer that 350 words, having in mind that the laboratory will take place during a day.
